Foundations. Driveways. Drainage.
Excavating and site work across Lancaster County and northern Chester County, from the first stake to final grade.
Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.
What we do
Residential, farm and light commercial site work. If it means moving dirt, setting grade or getting water to go somewhere else, call and ask.
-
Foundation digging
Basements, crawlspaces and footers for new houses, additions and garages, dug to your plans and ready for the concrete crew.
-
Driveways and lanes
New driveways and long farm lanes built on a proper stone base, plus regrading and fresh stone for ones that have rutted or washed out.
-
Drainage and grading
French drains, swales, downspout lines and regrading that move water away from your foundation and off your yard.
-
Land clearing
Brush, trees and stumps cleared for a building lot, a new lane or a fence line, with the stumps pulled and the ground left workable.
-
Utility trenching
Trenches for water, sewer, electric and gas lines, with bedding under the pipe, warning tape above it and the backfill compacted.
What to expect on a job
The same steps every time, whether it is a downspout line or a basement.
Site visit
We come out and walk the ground with you: access for the machines, slope, soil, and where the water goes now.
Written estimate
You get the scope of the work and the price in writing before anything goes on the schedule.
We call 811
At least three business days before we dig, we call Pennsylvania 811 so the utilities mark their buried lines.
The dig
We dig, haul and grade to plan. If the ground turns up rock or a spring, we stop and talk it through with you.
Cleanup
Extra dirt hauled off or spread where you want it, the site graded smooth, and the road swept.
The paint and flags in your yard
After the 811 call, the utilities mark their lines with colored paint and flags. Here is what each color means.
