What we bake

Everything is made here, in small batches, starting before sunrise.

  • Bread

    Sourdough, rye, sandwich loaves and rolls. The lineup changes by the day; see the schedule below.

  • Pastries

    Croissants, morning buns, scones and cookies, out of the oven before the doors open.

  • Pies

    Fruit pies that follow the season, plus shoofly and crumb pies, the Pennsylvania Dutch way.

  • Custom cakes

    Birthday, anniversary and celebration cakes, made to order. Give us five days' notice.

Every day we're open: croissants, morning buns, scones, cookies, hand pies, and whole pies while they last.

Monday and Tuesday: closed. The ovens get a rest, and so do we.

About us

Larkspur Bakehouse is a small bakery in Strasburg, in the farm country southeast of Lancaster.

We start baking in the dark, so the bread on the shelf when the doors open is from that morning. When it's gone, it's gone until the next day we're open.
